La Mesa Lumber/Chamber Building, c 1950
The La Mesa Lumber Company opened this sales office on their former property across Spring Street (northeast corner Allison and Date). From 1948 to 1965 the initial La Mesa Chamber of Commerce was housed in this building. The structure was moved to its current location in 1956 to make way for a new post office.
