Volunteers Needed
The 20th Annual La Mesa History Center Home Tour will be our biggest fundraiser and most anticipated event of the year! As we gear up for another incredible tour on Saturday, November 7th, we're looking for enthusiastic volunteers to help make this year a tremendous event.
Docent volunteers play a vital role in making the home tour a success. It's a fun, engaging way to give back to the community - and as a thank-you, all docents receive free access to tour the other homes on the day of the event. Whether you are passionate about history, architecture, or just love meeting new people, this is a fantastic way to get involved.
The History Center is a volunteer-powered, non-profit organization dedicated to preserving and celebrating the rich history of La Mesa. Your time and energy directly support our mission and help keep local history alive for future generations.

This November 7th La Mesa History Center’s Home Tour marks its 20th event sharing insider access into some of the community’s most historic homes. Over the years the History Center has provided access for Tour ticket holders to experience these amazing properties, ranging from late 1890s classics to Mid-Century Modern gems.

Every volunteer, ticket, and sponsorship supports the La Mesa History Center’s educational programs, including the McKinney House Museum, Research Archives and our promotion of historic preservation.

Day-of Ticket Prices:
La Mesa History Center Members $50, Non-Members $60

Members receive discounts and/or complimentary tickets depending on their level of membership. If you have an active membership that runs through November 7, 2026 check your email for your PROMO code.

Friday Night Premium Home Tour Tickets
La Mesa History Center also has a limited number of tickets for the Friday Night Pre-Tour and Reception — November 6th, 6:00-9:00PM
Get a chance to meet and thank the Homeowners and get a guided tour of the tour properties with historian Jim Newland.
Friday Night Premium ticket price $125 for non-members and includes ticket to Saturday’s tour.
