Lookout Avenue - Quarterly Newsletter of the La Mesa Historical Society 
Named for the original moniker of La Mesa Boulevard, members receive the Society's quarterly newsletter that provides information on Society activities as well as feature articles on La Mesa history. Special columns also feature information on local history makers, board members, the society's collections, recent donations and subjects of interest to our membership.

President’s Address – Jim Newland, President 
The La Mesa Historical Society had a busy and successful year in 2013, especially during the autumn season.

Rose Garden Celebration and Annual Meeting Approximately 300 people enjoyed our 7th Annual Home Tour on Saturday, November 3rd.The homes were built between 1910 and 1930. The visitors saw five beautifully maintained and decorated homes hosted by their owners.

In the Spotlight – Judy Jo Beardslee 
La Mesa native Judy Jo Beardslee grew up in north La Mesa when it was still “out in the country.”  Learn about her and her interest in local history, and about her beautifully restored 1931 Model A Ford—which she provides for Society use at numerous events.
